Christian Schmidt has decided to conclude his mandate as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s High Representative after nearly five years in the post, the Office of the High Representative (OHR) said on Monday, confirming earlier media reports.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s High Representative, Christian Schmidt, has formally informed the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) of his decision to step down and requested that the body initiate the procedure for selecting his successor, local media reported.
