Slovenia's retail sales turnover rose 4.6% on the year in March, following a decline of 3.5% in February, the statistical office said.
Slovenia’s Gorenjska Banka said on Wednesday its net profit went down to 3.5 million euro ($4.0 million) in the first quarter of this year, from 6.5 million euro in the same period of last year due to increased write-offs.
Croatian food producer Zito said on Wednesday it has closed the acquisition of local cooking oil producer Zvijezda Plus and Slovenian trading company Zvijezda from Zagreb-based business group Fortenova for a total purchase price of 94.06 million euro ($110 million).
Bulgaria saw the biggest monthly increase in industrial output in March among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE), at 5.8%, followed by Slovenia and Greece with 4.8% and 1.0%, respectively, Eurostat said on Wednesday.
Slovenia's top lender Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) said on Wednesday that its public takeover offer for Vienna-based Southeast Europe-focused Addiko Bank expires on July 22.
