Kosovo's harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) increased by an annual 7.5% in April, accelerating from 6.7% in March and 6% in February, the statistics office, ASK, said.

Southeast Europe (SEE) is well positioned to step up and increase the scale of its defence production, supported by its strong gross domestic product (GDP) growth in recent years and its longstanding tradition in manufacturing, the country manager for ING Bank Bulgaria and ING Bank Austria, Marina Kobakova, said on Tuesday.

Foreign remittances to Kosovo rose to 314 million euro ($368.7 million) in the first quarter, from 291.3 million euro in the same period of last year, the central bank said, quoting preliminary data.

Total electricity traded on the Kosovo-Albanian power exchange, the Alpex, increased 88% to 768.4 GWh in the first four months of the year, compared to the same period of the previous year, Alpex said over the weekend.

Ziraat Bank Kosovo, a subsidiary of Turkish lender Ziraat Bankasi, said its net profit dropped 82.6% year-over-year to 110,000 euro ($129,500) in the first quarter of 2026.
