Croatian civil construction GIP Pionir and Pedom Asfalti will carry out a 29.7 million euro ($35 million) motorway expansion project near Zagreb, state-owned motorway management company Hrvatske Autoceste (HAC) said on Wednesday.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) said on Tuesday it has approved a 200 million euro ($234 million) loan to state-owned Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, HBOR, to support investments by local companies and public entities across the country.

Croatian electrical concern Koncar said on Monday its unit Koncar – Generators and Motors has signed a new deal to deliver equipment to the Slovenia-based Krsko nuclear power plant NEK.

North Macedonia's state-owned power transmission company MEPSO will initiate international arbitration proceedings against Bosnia and Herzegovina's majority state-owned engineering company Energoinvest over a disputed contract for the construction of a 400 kV transmission line to Albania, after the project was not completed as planned, local media reported.

Croatian state-owned railway infrastructure operator HZ Infrastruktura has picked Indian company Afcons Infrastructure for a 677.1 million euro ($797 million) project for the reconstruction and expansion of the 83 kilometre-long Dugo Selo – Novska railway line, it said on Monday.
