OKBET PLAYNOW | On the third day of the MPLI 2022, the Swordfish endure horrific conditions

Swordfish : On the third day of the MPLI 2022, four second-round series were played, all of which would eliminate the losing team and advance the winning team to the quarterfinals. There were four teams, Blacklist International, Team HAQ, ONIC Esports, and RSG Singapore, waiting for the winners of the MPL regional tournaments to advance to the next round. There were many monumental series scheduled for today, and a few of the teams gave us a pleasant surprise with their play.

Members of the Geek Family remain unwavering

Opening the day would be Orange Esports, who finished third in MPL MY Season 10, taking on Geek Fam ID, a team that has battled for a while in MPL ID. When they defeated RRQ Sena on day one, they produced a little upheaval, and now they were prepared to trigger another. Despite the series going the full three games, the team was able to pull through in the end to eliminate one of the three MY teams, MPLI 2022. It’s going to be tough going for Geek Fam in the quarterfinals, as they’ll be up against the unstoppable Blacklist.

PH Wins

RSG PH was one of the last teams representing the Philippines at MPLI 2022 after seeing two teams eliminated yesterday and Smart Omega Esports on day one. Alternatively, Alter Ego hoped to finish off a win for ID over their MLBB regional opponents today, but they were unable. RSG battled hard to get back into the series after AE took the opening game. The Kingslayers rallied from behind to defeat the underdogs, AE, and advance to face the fourth-seeded Team HAQ in the quarterfinals.

Fall of the White Tigers

Yesterday, EVOS Legends also pulled off a shock, defeating ECHO, the team that had previously been in second place in the MPL PH S10 standings. They targeted Bren Esports, another PH powerhouse, today, but Bren’s recent dominance proved too much. Bren completely demolished the White Tigers in the decisive game, securing a tremendous win and putting themselves up for another ID struggle against ONIC Esports.

TODAK and AURA Fire, two of the best teams in their respective areas, finished off Day 3 and Round 2 of MPLI 2022. An exciting series was to be anticipated from a matchup between these two squads, and that is precisely what we got. Game One’s triumph by The Swordfish seemed like a harbinger of a 3-0 series victory for the Malaysian side. Despite AURA’s heroic comeback effort, TODAK prevailed in the series by a score of 2-1 thanks to a mistake from AURA and a brilliant play by CikuGais in game three. TODAK will now face RSG SG in the quarterfinals.
